When buying indoor Christmas lights there are a few things to look out for, the most important is the length of the wire that holds the lights. If you are using the indoor Christmas lights on the Christmas tree then the length of the wire is not that important as they are designed to be large enough to cover most Christmas trees. If however you have a specific location where you would like to use the indoor Christmas lights then you need to make sure that they are long enough for that space and that there is an electricity socket close enough. Another feature to look out for is the type of bulb used in the indoor Christmas lights, some have replaceable bulbs so that if they brake, fade or completely die then you can easily replace them and these sets often come with spare bulbs. Many indoor Christmas lights do however have bulbs that are not replaceable, this means that once the bulbs start to die you will have to buy a new set of indoor Christmas lights, the sets are usually quite cheap and getting new designs is always nice but this is still worth considering when buying indoor Christmas lights.


Some indoor Christmas lights also have some cool functions and patterns, this means that instead of just being continuously lit the bulbs turn on and off to create a cool light show. These patterns include twinkles which looks very festive and chasing which involves the lights turning on one after the other in turn, some indoor Christmas lights have multiple patterns so that you can change the pattern as you like and gives you much more variety.

The main type of Indoor Christmas lights are the sets of fairy lights, these are usually used on the Christmas tree but there is no reason that they can be placed in lots of other locations around the home. Fairy lights can also look good when used to decorate surfaces around the home, they can be laid around windows or along any other surface where the fairy lights can be easily attached. There are also lots of nice, festive designs available when buying fairy lights, the days of basic lights being the only choice are over although the fairy lights with basic lights can be effective if that is what you like. LED lights are also very popular with indoor Christmas lights, these are similar to traditional Christmas lights but use a different type of bulb which is the LED bulb. These offer many advantages over the traditional light bulb, the bulbs last ten times longer, they are three times brighter, they use 80% less power and they never get hot, all of these advantages are the reason that LED Christmas lights are fast becoming the most popular choice when buying indoor Christmas Lights. LED lights also just look cool, they are brighter and look more modern than the traditional Christmas lights, if you are buying a new set of indoor Christmas lights then LED Christmas lights are a very good choice.

There are also other types or indoor Christmas light sets that you can buy online, these include the net and drape lights which are also known as curtain lights. These are indoor Christmas light sets that have several vertical lines on lights that dangle down, they are designed for use on windows and give the house a nice festive look from inside and also from the outside. There are also indoor Christmas lights that are not contained on a wire like traditional fairy lights, you can buy them on stands and also in other designs such as on small trees.
